Where’s the craic? It is on Beaumont Street according to the Northern Star Hotel. The pub is planning live music and entertainment, traditional Irish food andGuinness.

There will be three stages throughout the venue and a best-dressed competition.

Finnegan’s Hotel

Open from 11:30am with an Irish menu all day, Finnegan’s is ready for Paddy’s Day.

There will be live Irish entertainment from 5:30pm andDJs from 8.30pm.

Shenanigans at Maitland

Licensee ofShenanigansthe ImperialClayton Barrett said the venue would be packed from 9.30amand will stay that way all day.

“We normally sell about six kegs of Guinness a week – but on Saturday alone we’ll do 15 kegs easily. When the Irish party they tend to party hard.”

There will be live music, including theMaitland Pipe andDrums Band,Irish breakfast and plenty of themed merchandise. Read more.

Harrigan’s Irish Pub

For those heading to the Hunter Valley, Harrigan’s is the place to be because celebrations are running the entire weekend.

The pub has got Irish bands, Irish dancers, an Irish pipe band, specials and prizes to give away.

Murray’s Brewery

On Saturday the Port Stephens brewerywill be pouring a special Irish aleand the kitchen will be servingpopular Irish dishes.

There will also be a free concert by Micro Circus Duo from noon onwards.Led by Newcastle musicianGreg McKew, Micro Circus duo will perform some Irish jigs, songs by Irish acts and mix it up with other popular songs. Read more.
